GROB Systems, developer of manufacturing systems and machine tools, will be exhibiting a wide range of solutions for electric vehicle motor components, machining, battery and fuel cell assembly, and more at Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo, Booth No. 2022 at Huntington Place in Detroit, Michigan, October 7th - 10th 2024. Prioritizing cycle time, value, and output requirements, GROB’s emphasis at the show will be to highlight its innovative, fully automated, and highly flexible battery manufacturing and assembly solution for the production of battery modules. GROB will also have examples of key EV parts made on GROB equipment such as stators, hairpin samples, prismatic and pouch cells for batteries, and videos featuring GROB technology/capabilities. Experts will be on hand to discuss attendee manufacturing needs and applications.

“GROB continues to provide significant advancements in battery production such as our assembly line, innovating and expanding its product range, and integrating more key capabilities to support its commitment to electromobility,” says Doug Schroeder, proposal and process engineering director, GROB Systems. “With years of EV manufacturing technology development already established, we offer an integrated concept for EV batteries and components through modular, flexible, and scalable electric powertrain manufacturing and assembly solutions, and are looking forward to sharing these solutions with attendees at the show.”

GROB Systems’ battery line solution includes stacking prismatic and pouch cells according to different size battery modules, geometrically fixing the cells, and linking them with one another via cell contacting systems. To ensure the highest product quality, testing occurs throughout the line, from start to finish.

GROB’s advanced EV manufacturing technology/capabilities also include automated machines and turnkey systems for the large-scale manufacturing and assembly of stators and rotors for customers in the automotive industry. In addition, GROB Systems’ concepts for energy storage systems support the automated production and assembly of battery cells, modules, and packs, and fuel cells. These comprehensive end-to-end solutions enable GROB to handle large orders and offer customers automated machines, manufacturing lines, and systems for full scale electric vehicle production.
