SES AI Corporation, provider of solutions for the development and manufacturing of AI-enhanced high-performance Li-Metal and Li-ion batteries, will host a live demo on April 29, 2025 at 11AM ET to unveil Molecular Universe MU-0, its latest battery material discovery software and service platform, powered by physics and AI.
This breakthrough includes what SES AI believes to be the world’s first reveal of a map of the molecular universe suitable for battery applications, a platform that allows battery industry professionals and academic researchers to look up a vast database of possible small molecules with one consolidated search. With tiered pricing based on access levels, users can explore the map of the molecular universe, uncovering molecular properties through an interactive interface that aims to fast-track battery R&D and make the next major energy breakthrough accessible in just a few clicks.
“MU-0 will be the first-of-its-kind material discovery toolkit in the battery field, offering an end-to-end service from uncovering molecular properties through an interactive map to strategic support including evaluating the most viable candidates with the authoritative insights of human scientists,” says founder and CEO Qichao Hu. “With four key features, including Map, Filter, Search, and Ask, MU-0 is built to meet the growing demand for advanced materials discovery, testing, and validation from OEMs and scientific research institutes to accelerate their next generation battery technology development. As evidenced by the two signed OEMs already aligned with our vision, we believe that MU-0 will be the key enabler in propelling the electrification across electric vehicles, energy storage, urban air mobility, robotics, drones, and more."
The initial public release of the Molecular Universe software and service platform MU-0 will be available following the live demo. During the demo, the SES AI team will showcase MU-0, now offering various tiers of functionality and pricing, and allow the audience to explore their map of the molecular universe through live prompt submissions. Attendees will get a first look at how MU-0 makes molecular discovery faster, more intuitive, and more powerful by combining the world’s largest database for battery-suitable molecules and their properties with a human-centered, reason-based LLM search tool.
