UrbanLink Air Mobility LLC, a South Florida-based provider of advanced air mobility (AAM) and zero-emission transportation solutions, has announced its partnership with Eviation Aircraft, a manufacturer of all-electric passenger aircraft. As part of the agreement, UrbanLink will purchase 10 Alice aircraft, a 9-passenger, zero-emission commuter aircraft, with the option to acquire 10 additional aircraft. This order will enable UrbanLink to provide eco-friendly commute flights with the 9-passenger Alice aircraft, which can fly up to 250nm nonstop.
"Our order for 10 Eviation Alice aircraft completes the third leg of our all-electric operating plan, giving us the ability to offer 9-seat, zero-emission flights across our network,” says Ed Wegel, UrbanLink founder and chairman. “Together with our regional eVTOL aircraft and electric sea vessels, we will provide seamless, sustainable travel options across the regions we serve, setting the stage for a fully integrated, eco-friendly travel experience.”
Based in Washington State, Eviation Aircraft Inc. develops and manufactures electric aircraft to provide operators and passengers with green, cost efficient, and convenient regional transportation. Its innovative airframe is designed from the ground up for electric flight. The addition of Eviation’s Alice aircraft marks a significant milestone in UrbanLink's commitment to sustainability and innovation, positioning the company at the forefront of zero-emission regional air travel.
“We are thrilled to partner with UrbanLink in revolutionizing regional air mobility,” says Andre Stein, CEO of Eviation. “This partnership with UrbanLink to operate our Alice aircraft marks a significant milestone in our shared vision of creating a sustainable and efficient transportation network. Alice’s zero-emissions technology and unmatched passenger experience will enable UrbanLink to offer unparalleled service while contributing to a greener future.”
Since its launch in April 2024, UrbanLink has rapidly advanced its mission to lead the U.S. market in all-electric, zero-emission transportation solutions. In May, the company announced a partnership with Lilium to purchase 20 of its pioneering eVTOL jets. With its eVTOL operations expected to enter service by Summer 2026, UrbanLink is poised to be the first airline in the U.S. to integrate eVTOL aircraft into its fleet. UrbanLink has also forged partnerships with Ferrovial Vertiports and Skyway Technologies to establish strategic vertiports in key markets. Beyond air travel, UrbanLink is embracing innovative maritime solutions, with plans to operate Artemis Technologies' zero-emission water taxis and REGENT Craft’s Viceroy seagliders, further enhancing its sustainable travel offerings.
UrbanLink is currently focused on Miami/South Florida, Los Angeles/Southern California, and the Caribbean, with additional routes and regions to be announced in the near future.
