Surface mount accelerometers

The Model 1522 series’ is a family of enhanced temperature performance, low-cost, general purpose analog surface-mount accelerometers.

With eight models and standard ranges from 2g to 400g, the series provides reliable vibration and acceleration measurements within more thermally demanding zero-to-medium frequency applications. The accelerometers also provide scale factor performance from -55°C to 125°C, further responding to AC and DC acceleration.

A micro-machined capacitive sense element and a custom integrated circuit have a sense amplifier and a ±4V differential output stage. All accelerometer internal components are housed within a hermetically sealed and nitrogen-damped leadless ceramic carrier (LCC) surface mount package. Units are Restriction on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) compliant.

Collet chuck

The Quick Change Compensating Collet Chuck for applications where shafts are machined between centers features a pullback design with a floating collet seat and incorporates a mounting in the ID of the chuck body for centers or other types of locators.

The floating collet seat design, together with vulcanized quick-change collets, allows the collet to compensate up to 1.5mm (0.060").

The floating collet seat is sealed and the chuck is lubricated for life, requiring minimal maintenance. A compact OD and short overall length provides greater rigidity and tool clearance.

All components are made from hardened alloy steel, precision ground for accuracy and long-term performance. The chuck generates a maximum clamping force of 84kN (18,884 lb) and is rated for spindle speeds up to 6,000rpm.

Camera module

The NXP i.MX 8M Plus camera module features a dual camera image signal processor, providing real-time processing for clear images and a neural network accelerator delivering up to 2.3 tera operations per second for extensive machine learning capabilities.

Features include a premium 4K sensor with high dynamic range (HDR). The image data can be processed smoothly by the i.MX 8M Plus, optimized for the sensor’s HDR feature.

Two add-on camera kits coordinated with the system on a chip (SoC) contain the hardware components and drivers to run the camera module with the NXP i.MX 8M Plus without any programming.

Cobot end-of-arm tooling

OnRobot’s One System Solution end-of-arm-tooling (EoAT), part of Universal Robots’ UR+ testing and certification program, uses URCap software to automatically identify grippers, sensors, and tool changers on UR robots. An RG2 two-finger gripper, for example, can be implemented with a VG10 vacuum gripper in one cycle, eliminating multiple setups.

URCap can be installed in UR’s Polyscope operating system when installing OnRobot software. The installation requires identification of one product; the software automatically identifies additional OnRobot products. The One System Solution assigns all EoAT products with a unified mechanical and communications interface based on the OnRobot Quick Changer.

The only cable coming out of the chain is from the Quick Changer, eliminating the need to disconnect/connect cables. An additional Dual Quick Changer allows two tools in one cycle, mixing and matching to suit applications, maximizing robot utilization.

Filtration system

The Vomat UBF vacuum band filter can handle sludge-cutting materials such as ceramic, high-speed steel, brass, aluminum oxide, and disc abrasion.

It operates with oil- and water-miscible coolants and can also be combined with a Vomat fine filtration unit.

It’s available in 110gal/min, 264gal/min, and 528gal/min filtration capacities.

Vibration welding system

VW6000 series with Melt-Match servo-driven vibration welding machines simplify vibration welding and improve cycle times, weld quality, and consistency. The Melt-Match plastic welding process repeatably detects melt transition from solid to molten state and controls thermoplastic melt flow during welding.

A fast servo drive and servo controller provide optimal contact force. Melt-Match improves force sensing and provides digital force read-out, giving users better control of the trigger and welding force.

The Melt-Detect feature resumes motion once the plastic material has started to melt, avoiding weld-joint deformation and cold welds for uniform melting and a hermetic seal.

Melt-Match parameters control welding in motion with real-time, closed-loop force and velocity control. Force and weld velocity can be programmed in 10 independent segments to match the material’s melt flow rate.
