The 10GB/s automotive Ethernet network platform supports design and development of autonomous vehicles by integrating hardware, software, and interconnect cabling systems. System upgrades ensure signal integrity, network traffic prioritization, system scalability, and security.
A multi-layered security approach allows the platform to run multiple virtual machines and applications simultaneously, giving automakers flexibility while providing encryption and certification technology for a layered, secure network. Enhancements include multi-zone, fail-functional, and redundancy capabilities.
USB Hubs and Media Modules support wired and wireless device-to-vehicle connectivity with power and data connection for USB Type C. The design considers cascading USB hubs via USB and Ethernet to optimize multiple devices connecting from the front to the back of the car.
The HSAutoGig high-speed Ethernet solution delivers at least 20GB/s data speeds with a reliable interface. The high-speed HFM FAKRA mini coaxial cable system performs at up to 20GHz to support autonomous and connected vehicle technologies.

LiDAR system
The VelaDome compact embeddable light detection and ranging (LiDAR) device provides an 180° x 180° image for near-object avoidance.
Coupled with Vella software, the LiDAR system can support autonomous driving or advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), such as lane-keeping assist (LKA), automatic emergency braking (AEB), and adaptive cruise control (ACC).
The VelaDome’s hemispherical field-of-view and high-density image improve pedestrian, cyclist, and blind-spot detection. VelaDome is optimized for manufacturability and designed to meet automotive-grade standards.

Autonomous systems motherboard
The Autonomous ONE motherboard could speed autonomous development by replacing a trunk full of cobbled-together equipment with a single interface device. The all-in-one data logger integrates multiple inputs into a single open platform.
The device links the autonomous central processing unit (CPU), global positioning system (GPS) signal, and connectors for multiple types of sensors including cameras, radar, LiDAR, and other inputs.
The motherboard works with all autonomous CPUs that support PCIe, MIPI camera inputs, and Ethernet. Autonomous ONE can be configured to hold up to 54 automotive Ethernet ports, 48 CAN/CAN FD channels, and 64TB of storage using PCIe 2.0 slots with NVMe SSD. High-speed SerDes (serializer/deserializer) camera interfaces are supported for the direct camera or sensor connection with a capacity up to 28 cameras, such as the FPD-Link III from Texas Instruments or the GMSL from Maxim Integrated.
Autonomous ONE can also be used for automatic and manual remote download, control, and monitoring of data through a Wireless 4G/5G or 60GHz WiGig connection.
